Job Description

  • Ensure line/shift production plan is fully achieved on time and in compliance with internal and external requirements (safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental needs).
  • Ensure the identified development plan and assure the competencies of their team (including temporary staff) through proper training (equipment, safety procedures, hygiene).
  • Coach employees to fulfill and exceed job requirements through the NCE (Nestlé Continuous Excellence) approach.
  • Enforce strict compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage production effectively through operational reviews and use Standard Routines (SDCA) to ensure sustainable results. Utilize Basic Problem Solving tools and knowledge sharing (OPLs) for continuous improvement.
  • Provide appropriate solutions, actions, or corrective actions when deviations are found in operations.
  • Analyze and address equipment breakdowns or machine stoppages, coordinating with the Engineering team.
  • Optimize operations, processes, and equipment to achieve line efficiency and performance, minimizing manufacturing losses. Contribute to the design of layout and equipment when necessary.
  • Strongly involved in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.
  • Control production costs by managing material usage (Yield and Losses), manpower, machine utilization, and M&R activities.
  • Check and accurately report production outputs, work in processes, and material usage daily, taking action as needed.
  • Support other departments (AG, QA, Engineer, etc.) for production-related activities (safety audits, manufacturing trials, quality audits, energy-saving projects, investigating consumer complaints, etc.).
  • Ensure constant dialogue with relevant stakeholders (line/shift teams, Production Manager, Maintenance, Unions, functional representatives).

Job Requirement

  • University degree with a major in a technical background, preferably food processing.
  • More than 2 years of experience in the same position in a manufacturing company.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to work in shifts (8 hours/day, 6 days/week).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including positively confronting inappropriate behavior and using coaching to ensure workforce involvement.
  • Advanced understanding of skills, knowledge, and behavioral requirements of positions under their responsibility (e.g., functional, hygiene, safety, technical).
