Job Description

Balance Sheet Management

  • Demonstrate active balance sheet management aligning with the market environment and incorporating new business scenario changes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to reshape the balance sheet towards a more stable funding profile.
  • Improve profitability through Balance Sheet optimization via disciplined deposit pricing and active loan repricing.
  • Explore several initiatives to improve excess funds deployment yield.
  • Collaborate with business segments to conduct active management of deposit Cost of Funds (COF) and administer loan repricing during rate hikes to manage the Bank’s Net Interest Margin (NIM).
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with business units to optimize NIM while ensuring relevant Regulatory and Group prudential limits within risk appetite.
  • Lead discussions at ALCO (Asset and Liability Committee) with senior management and stakeholders to effectively shape and influence balance sheet growth and optimization.
  • Reshape funding profile towards being more NSFR friendly, resilient, and less sensitive to rate hikes.
  • Continue rebalancing asset profile towards Trade loans and strategic long-term loan growth.

FTP Framework & Methodology

  • Ensure Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) methodology is aligned with market-leading practices.
  • Dynamically recalibrate Liquidity Premium (LP), Liquidity Charge (LC), and Reserve Cost aligned with market movement and balance sheet direction.
  • Provide advisory to business segments on FTP best practices including Strategic Incentives proposals and new product set-up.
  • Proactively recalibrate LP / LC calibration to align with dynamic market movements as well as address new business scenarios.
  • Review the Market adjustment on Base rate ensuring the loan is not underpriced from garnering Long-term Fixed Deposits.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in Business or Accounting.

Experience & Knowledge

  • At least 10 years of experience in financial services and related matters.
  • Sound knowledge of banking products and practical Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) mechanisms & methodology.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial accounting systems.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent MIS reporting skills with advanced knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and data mining.
  • Innovative problem solver, able to identify and understand issues and drive towards effective resolution.

Personality & Attitude

  • Have a growth mindset and critical thinking.
  • Able to work with senior stakeholders against tight deadlines.
