Job Description
Design Management Leadership
- Build strategies, objectives, and action plans for the Design Management Department in line with the company’s development direction.
- Organize and lead the Planning & Architecture Department and Technical Design Management Department.
- Allocate resources and control progress, quality, and operational efficiency of the department.
Architectural Concept & Product Design Direction
- Translate approved product positioning into design concepts, architectural language, spatial organization, and product experience.
- Provide direction for planning, architecture, interior, landscape, and design standards to create product identity and differentiated value.
- Coordinate with relevant units during product development and ensure consistency between architectural direction and technical disciplines.
Design Quality, Value Engineering & Technical Review
- Lead the review, challenge, and optimization of architectural, structural, infrastructure, and MEP design solutions.
- Evaluate and propose effective design solutions and lead or coordinate Value Engineering activities.
- Decide or propose professional solutions for key design and technical issues.
- Design Coordination & Consultant Management
- Coordinate design work with internal departments and design consultants throughout project development.
- Develop and control design briefs, scope of work, and technical requirements for design and technical consultancy packages.
- Participate in consultant selection, capability assessment, quality control, progress control, and design-related contract or tender reviews.
Team Development & Design Management System
- Develop the design management team and build successor resources.
- Standardize processes, design standards, and design libraries.
- Promote BIM application and digital transformation in design management; summarize lessons learned and continuously improve the design management system.
Job Requirement
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture, Planning, or related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in architecture, planning, design management, or real estate project development, including at least 5 years as Head of Design Management Department, Design Manager, Design Director, or equivalent at a real estate developer.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience working for a real estate developer and directly participating in or leading architectural concept development and product direction for large-scale real estate projects.
- Strong architectural and aesthetic thinking, with the ability to evaluate, challenge, and guide design consultants.
- Experience managing multiple projects, design disciplines, and consultancy firms at the same time.
- Strong understanding of the real estate project development value chain and ability to balance product value, investment efficiency, construction feasibility, and operational requirements.
Language / Other Requirements
- Able to work with domestic and international design consultants; experience working with reputable consulting firms is preferred.
- English proficiency sufficient for communication, work coordination, and professional document research.
- Willing to travel and work at project sites as required.
