Job Description
Trading & Procurement:
- Manage full-cycle trading operations for various fertilizer products (Urea, Phosphate fertilizers like DAP/MAP/TSP, Potash, and NPK) in both import and export channels.
- Source products from key global producers (e.g., China, Middle East, Russia, Southeast Asia) and coordinate the end-to-end supply chain for the Vietnam market.
Market Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Vietnamese players such as major chemical companies, fertilizer producers, and other regional distributors or government-linked buyers.
- Identify and develop new trading opportunities within Southeast Asia and South Asia for Vietnamese-origin or re-exported products.
Pricing & Contract Management:
- Conduct regular market intelligence analysis, including CIF cost modeling, benchmark tracking, and import duty/tariff review.
- Negotiate and execute sales/purchase contracts, including Incoterms, payment terms, and quality specifications.
Logistics & Documentation:
- Oversee coordination of bulk shipments or containerized cargo with shipping lines, inspection agencies, and port authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all customs, regulatory, and phytosanitary documentation for cross-border trade.
Internal Reporting:
- Prepare regular trading P&L updates, margin analysis, and volume forecasts for management.
- Coordinate closely with finance and risk control teams to ensure credit exposure and hedging policies are followed.
Job Requirement
- Minimum 7 years of fertilizer trading or sourcing experience, preferably with major chemical companies, fertilizer producers, or other global commodity trading firms.
- Hands-on experience handling Urea, DAP, MOP, NPK, or technical-grade phosphates.
- Strong commercial network within the Vietnamese fertilizer sector.
- Proven ability to execute cross-border contracts and manage high-volume shipments.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese (or Korean).
