Job Description
Regulatory Monitoring & Legal Updates
- Assist in-house counsels in responding to new regulations properly.
- Ensure staff comply with laws in daily operations.
- Handle legislative and regulatory changes from local authorities.
- Provide timely updates and reports to supervisors and Management.
Legal Advisory & Cross-functional Support
- Support other departments by providing legal advice.
- Coordinate with related counterparties in handling legal and compliance issues.
- Monitor legal task forces and legal/compliance-related projects.
Compliance Action Program
- Take responsibility for compliance action programs related to legal/compliance checks.
- Support legal and compliance training for all staff.
- Ensure legal/compliance issues are communicated and handled appropriately across the organization.
Reporting & Internal Compliance Coordination
- Report regulatory and legal updates to supervisors and Management.
- Coordinate with internal teams on compliance matters.
- Support the Compliance Department in maintaining legal and compliance standards in banking operations.
Job Requirement
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Experience of more than 04 years working in the banking sector or in a law firm is an advantage.
- Attorney-at-law qualification is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Good analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus.
Language / Other Requirements
- Fluent English in both writing and speaking.
- Japanese language is an advantage.
Personality & Attitude
