Job Description

OEM & Tier-1 Business Development

  • Develop and manage OEM and Tier-1 customer portfolios in the Vietnam automotive market.
  • Identify and build relationships with decision-makers in Purchasing, SQE, Engineering, Project Management, and Plant Quality departments.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with automotive OEMs, Tier-1 brake system suppliers, and local vehicle assemblers.

RFQ, Supplier Approval & Project Coordination

  • Lead RFQ responses and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams to prepare quotation proposals.
  • Carry out procedures to help the company become an approved supplier when suitable opportunities arise.
  • Coordinate APQP/PPAP activities, supplier evaluations, technical presentations, cost analysis, and sample submissions.

Customer Pipeline & Program Management

  • Track new vehicle development programs, localization projects, platform changes, and aftermarket supply opportunities.
  • Manage and report customer development progress through each stage: customer approach, technical meeting, NDA, supplier registration, RFQ, factory audit, sample submission, PPAP, nomination, and SOP.
  • Support business follow-up and project progress management to ensure opportunities move effectively toward mass production.

Job Requirement

Education & Experience

  • At least 8 years of B2B business experience in the automotive industry, including 3–5 years working directly with OEMs or Tier-1 supply systems.
  • Direct relationship with at least 3 companies among VinFast, THACO, Toyota, Hyundai Thành Công, Ford, Honda, Mitsubishi, Skoda/Thành Công, Geely/Tasco, Chery/Omoda-Jaecoo, or Tier-1 suppliers in brake systems or chassis components.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong practical experience in RFQ, supplier evaluation, APQP, PPAP, cost structure analysis, quality complaint handling, and project implementation tracking.
  • Good understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, including metal casting, CNC machining, surface treatment, quality inspection, packaging, production capacity, tooling, and process control capability.
  • Strong key account management, business development, negotiation, technical consultation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage complex customer development pipelines and work with engineering, quality, finance, and project teams.

Language / Other Requirements

  • Fluent in Vietnamese and business English.
  • Chinese, Japanese, or Korean language capability is an advantage depending on the customer group.
  • Willing to travel frequently to Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh, Chu Lai, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City when required.

  • Strong ownership in developing OEM/Tier-1 accounts and managing long sales cycles.
  • Detail-oriented and technically minded when working with automotive manufacturing and quality requirements.
  • Professional, persistent, and able to build trust with senior customer stakeholders.
