Job Description

Research and Development of New Material Sources

• Research and develop new materials suitable for market trends and meeting the Company's business needs.
• Search for, evaluate, and develop domestic and foreign material suppliers.
• Coordinate with production and sales departments to ensure material sources meet technical and commercial requirements.

Establishment of Quality Standards

• Establish technical standards for each type of material.
• Develop processes for inspection and evaluation of input quality for each type of material.

Testing and Quality Management

• Organize testing and quality inspection of new materials.
• Store and update technical specifications and supplier information.
• Coordinate to handle issues related to materials during testing and production.

Research and Advisory

• Monitor technology trends and new materials in the industry to propose sustainable material development solutions.
• Advise and consult on material suppliers with short production times, suitable quality, and competitive prices.

Reporting and Other Duties

• Report quality and work progress to the direct manager and Head of Department.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the direct manager and Head of Department.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

• College degree or higher in Yarn, Textile Dyeing, or Garment (Priority given to Yarn major).

Experience & Knowledge

• At least 2-3 years of experience in material development related to the textile, dyeing, and garment industry.
• Understanding of materials such as yarn, laminate film, bonding film, etc.
• Open knowledge of marketing, creativity, and agility with market changes.
• Understanding of fabric and fashion.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent in English (reading specialized documents, communicating with foreign suppliers).
• Proficient in office computing (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and related software.
• Skills in searching, evaluating, and working with material suppliers.
• Skills in analyzing and evaluating material quality.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Skills in research planning and reporting.
