Job Description

Strategic Leadership:

• Set and implement the vision, strategy, and direction for the AFC Advisory team, aligning with the company's strategic goals and promoting a strong culture of compliance.
• Provide governance and oversight for the implementation of all AFC-related policies and procedures within the country.

Business Advisory & Support:

• Act as a key advisor to business and support functions, providing timely and quality regulatory compliance advice on products, new initiatives, and transactions.
• Provide robust challenge to senior management and stakeholders when activities fall outside the risk tolerance, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with business and operational teams to develop and maintain effective policies and processes to address financial crime risk.

Risk Management & Governance:

• Proactively identify and assess evolving regulatory changes and associated risks.
• Provide reports on key financial crime risks to relevant management and risk committees.
• Ensure the end-to-end lifecycle of audits, assurance, and regulatory reviews is managed appropriately.

People & Talent Management:

• Lead, manage, and develop the AFC team by setting clear objectives, providing ongoing training and development, and fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Assess team competency to ensure skills are aligned with business and risk management demands, and manage succession planning for critical roles.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in legal, banking, or finance.
• Over 10 years of experience in Compliance or Legal Advisory in banking, with a solid background in compliance, risk and control management, and advisory.
• Superior analytical (including data analytics) and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• A strong and assertive communicator in both Vietnamese and English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to independently liaise with and manage relationships with regulatory officers.
• Strong leadership skills to lead the Regulatory Compliance Advisory Team.
• Must possess a strategic mindset, creative thinking, and a strong collaborative and action-oriented approach.
