Legal Advisory & Support
- Provide legal advice and legal drafting on a broad range of matters across Business Support Units, including Technology & Operations, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Strategic Communications, and Finance.
- Advise on dispute resolution, litigation, outsourcing/intra-group service level agreements (SLA), legal reporting, and risk management.
- Assist the Country Head of Legal in providing legal advice and support for group-driven projects.
Policy & Governance
- Assist the Country Head of Legal in drafting legal policies, guidelines, and frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks.
- Provide regular updates on legal developments to safeguard the organization from legislative risks.
Company Secretariat & Regulatory Affairs
- Undertake Company Secretariat matters as assigned by the Country Head of Legal & Secretariat.
- Support corporate governance and ensure alignment with internal and external compliance requirements.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
- Master of Law and/or admission to a provincial bar association is preferred.
Experience
- At least 10 years of corporate legal experience gained from both private practice and in-house roles.
- Prior experience with international or regional banks and law firms is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Self-motivated, confident, and independent with a strong track record of managing complex legal issues.
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and advisory skills.
- Strong writing and communication abilities; proficiency in English is an advantage.
- Sound judgment with strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
- Meticulous and able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of banking and finance law, as well as corporate and commercial law.
