Raw Materials Development and Management:
- Develop new materials according to requirements from sofa samples and follow up on the new material development process.
- Use the BPM system for new material development.
- Place trial orders with suppliers and follow up on small batch material trial production results.
- Communicate with Production/Development to set up new material codes and descriptions.
- Update material information in the system.
- Identify materials, compare different supplier prices, and choose the "right" one, comparing local and international material prices and understanding purchasing from both.
- Keep all new material development documents for future audits.
New Supplier Development:
- Develop new suppliers in the local market and assess their capabilities.
- Develop more than 2 suppliers for high-volume materials to compare performance.
- Visit new suppliers' facilities to evaluate their factory situation for certification, compliance, and production area risk control.
- Set up new suppliers in the BPM and AX systems.
Supplier's Daily Management:
- Supplier Risk Control:
- Sign and save/renew supplier contracts.
- Control payment terms (no prepayment unless approved).
- Review supplier performance (delivery time, quality, MOQ, payment term) and determine future action plans (weed out, improve, or continue cooperation).
- Supplier's Price/Materials Cost Control:
- Review raw material market price trends monthly/quarterly and set up a material cost analysis system for future negotiations/bidding.
- Conduct weekly reviews of raw material prices (e.g., foam raw materials, carton box materials) and create action plans for cost savings.
Assist Production Line to Develop Production Tools and Parts:
- Develop urgent tools and parts in the local market based on production department requirements.
- Assist the production department with communication related to equipment maintenance.
