• Lead and manage all R&D activities related to PU & PVC synthetic leather development.
• Develop new products, materials, formulations, and surface finishes aligned with market trends and customer requirements.
• Improve existing products to enhance quality, performance, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
• Coordinate laboratory trials, pilot tests, and industrial scale-up in close collaboration with the Production team.
• Ensure all new developments are industrializable, stable, and compliant with production capabilities.
• Support Sales and Marketing in customer developments, sampling activities, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with Quality to ensure compliance with international standards, certifications, and brand requirements.
• Evaluate and qualify raw materials and suppliers, including alternative solutions to improve competitiveness.
• Manage R&D project timelines, priorities, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production and quality issues.
• Monitor industry trends, innovations, and regulatory developments, with a strong focus on sustainable materials.
• Train, develop, and reinforce the skills of the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork.
• Implement and follow all R&D-related directives from top management, including those required for company certifications.

Nationality: Any, Preferred Western

Experience: from 10 years of experience in Research & Development within synthetic leather, PU/PVC materials, (preferably PU/PVC Leather for shoes, handbags, and garments)

Language: fluent in English

• Strong knowledge of formulations, coatings, printing, embossing processes, and finishing technologies.
• Solid understanding of raw materials, performance requirements, and industrial constraints.
• Ability to manage R&D projects from concept development to industrialization.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a flexible and proactive mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in team-oriented and cross-functional environments.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with Production, Quality, Sales, and Purchasing teams.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and hands-on approach.
• Sensitivity to sustainability, compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Leadership skills to guide, motivate, and develop technical teams.
