Production Operations & Strategic Planning

• Develop annual production budgets, capacity planning, and monthly/weekly production plans for the metal workshop.
• Ensure capacity aligns with sales orders and the company’s overall production rhythm.
• Fully coordinate production activities across metal tube processing and sheet metal processing.
• Manage key processes such as cutting, laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, grinding, and powder coating/painting.
• Establish an efficient production command system to monitor end-to-end production progress.
• Resolve major bottlenecks and urgent issues to ensure 100% on-time order delivery.

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

• Act as the Lean manufacturing leader for the metal workshop.
• Systematically plan and implement Lean tools and methodologies such as value stream mapping, cellular manufacturing, SMED, and TPM.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on material utilization improvement, OEE enhancement, lead-time reduction, and manufacturing cost reduction.
• Cultivate a Lean culture and continuous improvement mindset within the team.
• Establish a suggestion system to drive technical and managerial innovation.

Technology, Process & Quality Management

• Establish and optimize metal processing standards, work instructions, and quality inspection specifications.
• Provide guidance to resolve complex technical issues related to laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and surface treatment.
• Collaborate with the Quality department to build and maintain the workshop’s quality management system.
• Drive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions for major quality issues to ensure products meet customer requirements.

Cost Control & Supply Chain Collaboration

• Take full responsibility for cost budgeting and control of the metal workshop.
• Focus on raw material scrap rates, auxiliary material consumption, and energy efficiency.
• Optimize cutting and nesting plans to improve material yield.
• Manage tooling, dies, and consumables life cycles and procurement costs.
• Work closely with Purchasing and Planning departments to ensure stable and reliable supply of raw materials and outsourced components.

Equipment, Safety & People Management

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plans for key equipment.
• Ensure optimal condition for laser cutting machines, CNC bending machines, welding equipment, and powder coating lines.
• Strictly enforce safety regulations, especially for high-risk operations such as welding, lifting, and chemical handling.
• Build a “zero-accident” workshop environment.
• Lead the selection, development, motivation, and performance evaluation of the metal workshop management team.

Cross-functional Communication

• Act as a management representative to communicate fluently in English with overseas departments for technical clarification and process reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Product teams on manufacturability evaluations for new product development.
• Work efficiently with Quality, Planning, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth overall operations.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Manufacturing, Metal Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum 8 years of experience in metal manufacturing.
• At least 5 years as a manager or senior supervisor of a metal workshop or similar production unit.
• Mandatory full-time management experience in large or medium-sized modern manufacturing enterprises.
• Familiarity with systematic, large-scale production operations.
• Proficient in the complete processing chain for metal tubing and sheet metal, from cutting to surface treatment.
• Proven experience leading Lean improvement projects with significant financial results.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent English communication skills are mandatory (usable as a working language for international meetings and reports).
• Strong strategic planning, data analysis, budget control, and team leadership capabilities.
• Highly sensitive to material utilization and manufacturing costs, with strong control capability.
