Coordinate daily activities of logistics operations and transportation processes. Includes coordinating with truck drivers, preparing loads for delivery, taking steps to avoid quality control issues, tracking delivery progress, and ensuring delivery reaches the customer on time without delay.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Communicate and liaise with the Production team on timely availability of drums to minimize waiting charges and truck cancellations (20%).
• Arrange trucks with transporters to meet internal demand in a timely manner and respond to any changes (20%).
• Monitor and ensure sufficient stock of relevant drums is maintained at the yard to meet forecasted demand for designated customers (10%).
• Conduct and organize safety refresher courses for lorry drivers and attendants and work closely with the Safety Officer (10%).
• Ensure the proper and timely preparation of documentation required for the delivery of goods to customers (10%).
• Update records of returned drums in a timely manner and report to relevant departments for further action (10%).
• Monitor contract workers and arrange the distribution of work accordingly (5%).
• Carry out continuous improvement activities to improve drum-yard operations (5%).
• Support the logistics of import operations (5%).
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Company (5%).

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Typically possesses a diploma (or equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience: Understanding of logistics operations and transportation processes.
• Specific Skills / Business Knowledge:
  • Ability to read, understand, and maintain records as required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with a team.
  • Work well with deadlines.
