Pattern, Sample & Technical Development

• Lead Pattern Technologists in producing high-quality patterns that meet customer fit preferences, specifications, material utilization, production efficiency, and cost requirements.
• Work with customers and CSP to obtain fit, style, construction, and sewing requirements, then translate them into technical execution plans.
• Oversee sample-making activities to ensure timely production of high-quality samples for internal and customer approval.
• Provide technical advice to customers to improve garment fit, quality, sewing methods, and construction details.

Methods Improvement & Production Technical Support

• Lead the development and auditing of Methods Best Practices and participate in MBP meetings across the Group.
• Work with Folder Technicians, Mechanics, and Industrial Engineering teams to create folders and work aids that reduce SMV and improve quality.
• Ensure technical support for trial production, sewing methods, operation breakdowns, pre-production meetings, operator training, and final SMV confirmation.
• Oversee machine setting standards such as SPI, fusing temperature, pressure, and time, and ensure compliance across Cutting, Sewing, Presentation, and Mechanics teams.

Team Leadership, Talent Development & Culture Alignment

• Manage immediate teams through SMART goals, continuous coaching, performance reviews, development planning, recognition, and succession planning.
• Build training plans for Pattern Technologists and Garment Technologists based on skill evaluations.
• Assess future talent potential, mentor employees one level down, and develop successors for key roles.
• Lead by example, reinforce TAL Group’s core values and culture, and support personal effectiveness development.

• Experience in garment technical management, pattern making, garment technology, sample making, sewing methods, production technical support, and team leadership is required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of garment patterns, sample development, sewing methods, garment construction, fit improvement, and technical quality standards.
• Strong ability to lead technical teams, manage sample room activities, improve production methods, and optimize material utilization and sewing efficiency.
• Good understanding of SMV, GSD coordination, operation breakdowns, machine settings, trial production, MBP, and technical problem-solving during production.
• Strong managerial leadership, coaching, performance management, talent development, and succession planning skills.

• Able to collaborate with customers, CSP, Lab, Industrial Engineering, Mechanics, Sewing GT Supervisors, Sewing GTs, AAMT Trainers, and Group GSD Center.
• Able to work within Technical & Quality operating plans and customer technical requirements.
