• Analyse financial data, performance metrics, and trends to provide insights and support decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for business units.
• Collaborating with Logistics teams to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and supporting business units in achieving financial targets.
• Provide financial guidance, analysis, and advice to support sales opportunities, pricing requirements and capital investments and business cases.
• Prepare and presenting financial reports, variance analysis, and other relevant information to stakeholders.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, and developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and cost savings within business units.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to drive business performance.
• Contributing to the development and execution of business strategies that align with the organization's overall financial goals.
• Build strong relationships with Logistics business unit leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on financial matters.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, regulatory authorities, and board members, to ensure transparency and accountability in financial matters.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is typically required.
• Master's degree or professional certifications such as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Skills & Experience

• Logistics industry background a distinct advantage.
• Understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques to effectively manage financial operations.
• Proven experience in a reporting and business analysis role, preferably within a group of companies or a complex organizational structure.
• Advanced excel, macro, PowerPoint skills and modelling skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to stakeholders, present financial insights, and facilitate decision-making processes.
• Proven ability to address complex financial challenges, troubleshoot issues, and develop innovative solutions to enhance financial performance.
• Familiarity with financial systems and technologies to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve operational efficiency.

Knowledge

• Ideally, background from services, logistics or agency business, with some knowledge of relevant industry trends and best practices (commercial, operating and technology). Preferred but not essential.
