Job Description
Incoming Material Quality Control:
- Lead quality control for incoming materials, including Jumbo and packing materials.
- Ensure that all incoming materials meet UPM standards and specifications.
Process Quality Monitoring:
- Monitor quality throughout the production process, including slitting, packaging, and transportation meet to standard.
Claims Process Management:
- Lead the claim process to identify root causes and implement corrective actions within standard lead time.
- Collaborate with factories and terminal’s stakeholders to handle quality complaints effectively.
Stock Management
- Monitor and update quality data on system about on-hold stock, rewind stock, and 2Q stock in accordance with UPM policies and terminal KPIs.
Documentation and Standards:
- Manage and update all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and customer alerts.
- Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and reflects current practices and standards.
- Manage the distribution of Certificates of Analysis (COA) for all relevant products meeting customer’s requirements and expectations.
Quality Activities:
- Lead quality-related activities, including quality sharing sessions, Gemba walks, and quality observation programs.
Total Quality Index (TQI):
- Assist the Terminal Production Manager in managing and improving the Total Quality Index (TQI).
Audits:
- Participate in supplier audits, customer audits, and UPM internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Compliance:
- Perform all duties in full compliance with all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
- Assist the Terminal Production Manager in continuous improvement activities related to quality.
- Support the application and maintenance of ISO certifications (e.g., ISO9001, ISO 14001)
Job Requirement
Education: College or University degree, in any filed.
Quality or Production Management is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience in factories or printing industrial (is preferred)
Language: Fluent written and spoken English.
Computer: Competent with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Another applications knowledge is a plus.
