Maintenance Strategy & Asset Governance
- Translate business, production, quality, and EHS objectives into a 3–5 year reliability roadmap, annual operating plan, and monthly priorities.
- Establish and maintain maintenance policies, standards, workflows, role accountabilities, service levels, and escalation rules.
- Apply risk-based thinking to prioritize people safety, product risk, legal compliance, production continuity, environment, and cost.
- Own asset master data accuracy and lead asset criticality assessment across safety, quality, delivery, environment, legal, cost, and redundancy criteria.
Work Management, PM/PdM & Breakdown Response
- Implement a disciplined work-order process from request, planning, scheduling, execution, verification, closure, and history capture.
- Maintain a risk-ranked maintenance backlog with labor, duration, procedures, permits, parts, tools, and production access defined before scheduling.
- Lead weekly scheduling and daily coordination with Production to protect approved maintenance windows.
- Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance plans.
- Provide structured response to critical failures and lead root-cause analysis for significant, repeated, or high-risk failures.
Reliability, Utilities, Spare Parts & Compliance
- Analyze downtime, MTBF, MTTR, repeat failures, and maintenance costs to identify improvement priorities.
- Apply methods such as FMEA, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and structured problem-solving cycles.
- Ensure assigned utilities and infrastructure have adequate capacity, redundancy, preventive maintenance, inspection, and contingency plans.
- Establish equipment BOMs and risk-based min/max levels for critical, insurance, and consumable spare parts.
- Maintain traceable work orders, inspection results, parameter changes, parts used, test results, failure codes, downtime, and return-to-service authorization.
EHS, People Leadership & Budget Control
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership and enforce requirements related to energy isolation, work permits, machine guarding, electrical safety, hot work, lifting, confined space, work at height, chemicals, and PPE.
- Stop unsafe work or equipment, report incidents and near misses, and lead technical actions to prevent recurrence.
- Design maintenance organization and shift/on-call coverage based on asset risk and production requirements.
- Set team objectives, coach performance, conduct evaluations, maintain competency matrices, and build succession for critical roles.
- Prepare and control operating and capital budgets using risk, asset condition, production demand, and life-cycle cost.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive industrial maintenance/engineering experience in heavy manufacturing, including at least 4–6 years leading a multi-disciplinary maintenance team.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine safety.
- Depth in at least one technical discipline.
- Proficient in CMMS and enterprise systems.
- Able to build dashboards and analyze work-order, downtime, cost, inventory, and condition data.
- Practical knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and document control.
Language / Other Requirements
- Working English proficiency for reading technical documents, supplier communication, audits, and management reporting.
- Chinese is a nice-to-have only.
- Demonstrated experience with casting, steel, or pipe manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Preferred certifications include maintenance/reliability, 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, project management, or energy management.
Personality & Attitude
- Able to manage a people-manager role that is critical, operational, and safety-sensitive.
- Able to lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with Production, Quality, SHE, Engineering/Projects, Warehouse, Procurement, Finance, HR, IT, and external providers.
- Risk-based, safety-focused, disciplined, accountable, and improvement-oriented.
- Able to support stable production, cost optimization, contractor management, audits, and continuous improvement.
