Job Description

Commercialization & Project Management

  • Manage the multi-disciplinary commercialization process, overseeing the transition from product concept to mass production.
  • Coordinate engineering pilots (First Shots, EP, FEP, PP) and proactively resolve design or production challenges to maintain project timelines.
  • Track project progress against defined milestones, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to project schedules.

Technical Design & Optimization

  • Evaluate and optimize product designs, including reviewing CAD drawings and detailed specifications to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Lead the development of electronic circuits (PCB) for consumer products, including selecting and integrating components like ICs, sensors, voice recorders, and LEDs.
  • Propose alternative design concepts and value-engineering solutions to reduce manufacturing costs without compromising quality.

Supplier Coordination & Quality Assurance

  • Act as the technical liaison between functional teams (Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing) and external vendors in Asia.
  • Support Quality Assurance (QA) teams and suppliers in root-cause analysis (A3/structured problem solving) during the production process.
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and provide technical training to factory management to ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, EN71, ASTM-F963, etc.).

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering functions, specifically within Consumer Electrical products or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
  • Proven experience in full-cycle product development (design to mass production).
  • Strong knowledge of product compliance standards (e.g., ISO, ICTI, EN71, ASTM-F963, UL 696).

Skills & Competencies

  • Expertise in designing and developing electronic circuits (PCB) for consumer products, especially toys.
  • Advanced project management skills, including reporting against milestones and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings, conduct cost engineering estimates, and provide supplier assessments.

Personality & Attitude

  • Results-oriented, capable of negotiating complex technical issues with supplier leadership.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to factory sites (Northern Vietnam, China, India, SEA countries).
