Job Description

  • Supervise a team of call center associates, including work and attendance monitoring, following organizational policy and legal requirements.
  • Coach direct reports regularly to ensure they meet performance metrics.
  • Identify performance issues, develop improvement plans, implement corrective actions, and manage terminations.
  • Ensure customer service meets contractual KPIs and financial expectations.
  • Communicate expectations to employees and provide timely updates.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and handle escalated customer calls.
  • Conduct team meetings to share information and gather input; schedule and organize team activities.
  • Stay current on internal work processes, policies, and procedures and attend manager development training.
  • Promote company values, acting as an advocate for team members.
  • Manage the employment status of call center associates; participate in transfers, promotions, and regularizations. Exercise independent judgment and discretion in implementing management policies.
  • Manage employee employment status (firing, promotion, regularization, etc.), including addressing misconduct and policy/process violations.
  • Stay current on and ensure implementation of internal work processes, management policies, and procedures.
  • Support and manage the assigned program with other Team Leaders and Managers.
  • Provide input on employee selection, training, development, and performance appraisals, complying with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage team members' performance regularly and conduct performance appraisals.

Job Requirement

  • Experience in Customer Service (BPO industry preferred).
  • Japanese language proficiency (N1 or N2 certification).
  • Ability to develop and coach team members to achieve performance expectations.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Good English skills.
