Job Description

Line Supervision and Workforce Management

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sewing operators and related personnel across 9–10 sewing lines with approximately 300 sewing machines.
  • Monitor production workflow and ensure smooth coordination between team members.

Production Performance and Efficiency

  • Ensure production targets are achieved by arranging work plans, assigning tasks, and optimizing processes for higher efficiency and reduced waste.
  • Monitor line performance and propose improvement plans for productivity enhancement.

Quality Control and Product Standards

  • Oversee and maintain quality standards throughout the sewing process.
  • Inspect products to ensure compliance with technical requirements and promptly address defects or quality issues.

Training and Workforce Development

  • Train new employees on machine handling, operational techniques, and working methods.
  • Provide ongoing training and skill enhancement for existing employees.

Material, Equipment, and Maintenance Management

  • Manage materials, accessories, and supplies used in sewing production.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of machinery and production equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Safety, Compliance, and Workplace Organization

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies across all production lines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Coordinate with relevant departments including production planning, maintenance, and quality control to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.
  • Report production status, quality issues, and potential risks to management.

People and Operational Support

  • Provide recommendations on staffing including recruitment, training, rewards, or promotion.
  • Handle machine-related incidents and process issues when they arise.
  • Support output forecasting, cost estimation, and implementation of process improvement initiatives.

Reporting Line

  • Report directly to the Factory Manager.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

  • Diploma or higher.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Over 10 years of working experience, with at least 5 years in a similar supervisory position in the garment industry.
  • Experience with Knit products is preferred.
  • Ability to start work soon is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Fluent in English or Chinese.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage large teams.
  • Problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle production issues effectively.
