Job Description
Accounting System Management
- Oversee and control the company’s accounting system, ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations.
Inventory & Costing Control
- Manage inventory accounting and ensure accurate reconciliation between inventory records, sub-ledgers, and the General Ledger (GL).
- Supervise costing activities and ensure accuracy in cost allocation.
Financial Closing & Reporting
- Supervise general accounting operations, month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review and approve financial reports including Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss statements.
Accounts Payable Management
- Manage accounts payable activities, including reconciliation with overseas suppliers and monitoring of outstanding payables.
Tax & Compliance
- Oversee tax compliance matters including VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory reports.
- Work directly with tax authorities and external auditors during inspections and audits.
Cash Flow Control
- Control cash flow–related transactions.
- Review and approve payment requests and accounting vouchers.
Management Reporting
- Ensure timely preparation of periodic, statutory, and ad-hoc management reports as required.
Team Leadership & Internal Control
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.
- Ensure effective internal controls, data accuracy, and compliance across all accounting activities.
Job Requirement
Education & Qualifications
- Graduated from University or higher, majoring in Accounting or Finance.
- Chief Accountant Certificate is required.
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Chief Accountant role within an FMCG or Manufacturing company with a scale of approximately 800 employees.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work independently and under high pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and resilience in demanding environments.
