Job Description
Engineering Design & Technical Development
- Lead end-to-end engineering design activities, ensuring all drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM) meet customer requirements.
- Review and approve design concepts, prototypes, and Engineering Change Notices (ECN/ECR) to maintain product integrity.
- Ensure designs are optimized for functionality, reliability, and cost-efficiency through DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) principles.
Process Engineering & Technical Support
- Provide advanced technical solutions to production issues, quality challenges, and yield improvements.
- Optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, jigs, and test methods to enhance productivity and standardization.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions to resolve engineering-related defects.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers during design reviews and technical inquiries.
- Coordinate technical discussions and reporting with Korean Headquarters and onsite Korean engineers.
- Manage project timelines, engineering milestones, and deliverables for NPI (New Product Introduction) and mass production transfers.
Team Leadership & Compliance
- Manage, coach, and develop the Engineering/Technical team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of technical professionalism.
- Ensure full compliance with automotive and electronics standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO requirements.
- Build and maintain robust engineering documentation systems, including specifications and technical records.
Job Requirement
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering).
Experience & Knowledge
- 8–12 years of experience in engineering, design, or technical management within electronics or automotive manufacturing.
- 3–5 years in a Technical Manager or Engineering Manager role.
- Strong technical design background with proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
Skills & Competencies
- Fluent English for technical discussions and reporting.
- Basic Korean communication capability to work effectively with Korean leadership and engineers.
- Strong understanding of automotive quality systems (IATF 16949) and NPI processes.
Personality & Attitude
- Decisive leader with strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
