Job Description

Technical Maintenance & Operations

• Manage the preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all tanks, pumps, piping systems, and associated chemical handling equipment.
• Lead the team in diagnosing technical faults and performing complex repairs to minimize operational downtime.
• Oversee the technical integrity of chemical storage infrastructure, ensuring all equipment functions within specified safety and performance parameters.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, hazardous material handling guidelines, and environmental protection standards.
• Conduct regular technical audits and safety inspections of the tank farm area to identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented in accordance with company quality systems and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise, coach, and mentor the maintenance team to enhance their technical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and safety departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure business continuity.
• Provide technical input for equipment upgrades, procurement, and improvement projects.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Professional certifications in hazardous material handling or industrial maintenance are preferred.

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a chemical plant or tank farm environment.
• Extensive knowledge of chemical storage systems, fluid dynamics, and industrial safety regulations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for industrial machinery.
• Proficient in reading technical blueprints, P&IDs, and maintenance management software.
• Excellent leadership and team coordination capabilities.

Personality & Attitude

• Highly safety-conscious, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
• Capable of making quick, sound decisions under pressure during emergency maintenance situations.
