Job Description
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional security support, resolve shipment-related queries, and conduct facility tours highlighting security measures.
- Operations & Policy: Ensure security policy consistency and standardization, regularly reviewing processes and infrastructure to minimize security risks.
- Vendor Management: Source security equipment, manage vendor relationships, monitor/audit services, and maintain performance reports.
- External Liaison: Build strong relationships with law enforcement, airport authorities, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Internal Collaboration: Enlist staff support for a secure environment, manage updates to security procedures, and collaborate with other security managers locally, regionally, and globally.
- Country Office Support: Provide regular security updates, representing specific country needs in regional plans and initiatives. Ensure compliance with regional security policies.
- Auditing: Conduct security audits, implement corrective actions, maintain required accreditations, and ensure compliance with aviation and cargo security regulations.
- Training: Develop and implement security training, particularly in cargo screening and awareness programs.
- Emergency Response: Prepare and manage environmental incident and emergency response plans.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement and monitor security policies and procedures, coordinate security activities, conduct audits, oversee equipment maintenance, and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Investigations: Lead security investigations, identify root causes, implement preventive measures, manage asset recovery, and initiate legal action when appropriate.
- Networking & Intelligence: Maintain internal security contacts and manage the security incident database, providing regular reports, analysis, and recommendations.
Job Requirement
- 3-5 years of experience in a Security Supervisor role.
- Knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, fire fighting systems).
- Experience with relevant security standards (e.g., TAPA, C-TPAT, ISO).
- Experience managing security service providers.
- Experience managing compliance, regulatory reviews, permits, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Experience with fire fighting systems setup and operation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence change within the organization.
