Job Description

Quality Management Support

• Support the Japanese Manager in managing overall quality control operations to achieve high product standards.
• Independently perform specialized quality inspections, summarize findings, and prepare detailed reports.
• Assist in establishing and implementing a comprehensive quality control system during the plant startup phase.

Quality Control Operations

• Create and maintain documents and records for quality control activities.
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily QC operations to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cost requirements.
• Lead the QC team in executing inspection procedures, verifying results, and maintaining consistency.

Team Leadership & Training

• Recruit, train, and develop QC staff to build a high-performing and disciplined team.
• Provide coaching, teaching, and performance evaluations to enhance technical and analytical capabilities.
• Foster a collaborative and professional working environment focused on continuous improvement.

Process & System Improvement

• Identify root causes of quality issues and propose preventive and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related problems and improve efficiency.
• Promote lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives across QC operations.

Quality Standards & Compliance

• Participate in activities related to obtaining international certifications such as FSSC and ISO.
• Support the creation of documentation, preparation for audits, and communication with regulatory authorities.
• Ensure adherence to both internal quality guidelines and international standards.

Reporting & Communication

• Monitor and report on QC performance, inspection results, and deviations to the Japanese Manager.
• Provide progress updates on quality improvements, audit results, and team performance.
• Maintain effective communication with Japanese management and technical experts during pre-production training and audits.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or a related discipline.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in quality control or assurance within the food or dairy industry.
• Experience in plant startup or quality system establishment preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of international standards such as FSSC and ISO.
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English communication (TOEIC 700+ or equivalent).
• Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2 or N1) is a strong advantage.
• Ambitious, resilient, and eager to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Open to candidates based in Vietnam or Japan who can relocate to Vietnam.
