Job Description

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 15 skilled Maintenance Engineers and Technicians.
  • Manage shift schedules, workload balancing, and rapid response to machine breakdowns.
  • Ensure the team has the necessary training, tools, and technical resources to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.

Operational Excellence & SOPs

  • Develop, implement, and enforce robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine machine maintenance, planned downtime, and preventative maintenance (PM) schedules.
  • Drive a culture of proactive, data-driven maintenance rather than reactive repair.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure optimal availability for critical components.

Factory Performance & OEE Improvement

  • Work in close partnership with the Production Manager to monitor, analyze, and report on the factory’s Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics (Availability, Performance, Quality).
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts on recurring failures to permanently eliminate downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Identify capital investment opportunities for machine upgrades or modifications that enhance productivity and lifespan.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance activities strictly adhere to company safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar technical field) is highly preferred.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Professional experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or a related field within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a sizable team of engineers or technicians.
  • Strong technical background in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls (PLCs), specifically applied to high-speed packaging or converting machinery.
  • Demonstrable expertise in developing and managing Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience in measuring and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Production, Quality, and Safety teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis for maintenance metrics.
