Job Description

Legal Compliance & Advisory

• Oversee legal compliance across Vietnam entities and locations, ensuring alignment with local and national regulations.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes that may impact the company and develop related policies or procedures.
• Advise leadership and internal teams on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Licensing, Customs & Government Relations

• Manage licensing, permits, registrations, renewals, and year-end customs documentation for company operations in Vietnam.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, third-party contractors, authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance.
• Support ISO, fire safety assessments, and maintain positive relationships with government authorities.

Contracts, Land Use & Legal Documentation

• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor contracts, service agreements, and partnership agreements.
• Handle land use rights matters, lease agreements, land title issues, and related disputes.
• Work with external legal advisors on disputes, litigation, and arbitration; maintain accurate legal records and reports for management and regional teams.

Job Requirement

Education & Experience

• Degree in Law or a related field; legal certification is a plus.
• 7–10 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably as a Legal & Compliance Manager or in a similar role.

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese laws, regulations, compliance standards, licensing, permits, contracts, customs compliance, and government relations.
• Strong contract drafting, review, negotiation, legal advisory, analytical, and risk management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Language / Other Requirements

• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
• Ability to work with external legal advisors, government authorities, regulatory bodies, customs brokers, contractors, and internal regional teams.
