Job Description

Lean Manufacturing System Development and Promotion

  • Lead the planning, introduction, and implementation of the Lean Manufacturing System at the factory (including 6S, VSM, Standardized Work, SMED, and Pull Production).
  • Identify production efficiency bottlenecks and waste areas through data analysis and on-site diagnostics.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans to address identified bottlenecks.
  • Establish a key performance indicator (KPI) system for metrics like Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Work-In-Process (WIP) inventory, and production cycle time.
  • Regularly report on improvement results based on established KPIs.

Production Technology and Process Management

  • Define, optimize, and supervise the execution of full-process process standards for solid-wood furniture, metal products, and upholstery products.
  • Provide immediate technical support and training by going deep into the production site to promptly resolve technical and process issues.
  • Lead the assessment, pilot testing, and promotion of introducing new materials, processes, and equipment to enhance technical competitiveness.

Efficiency Improvement and Cost Control

  • Increase output per person (man-hour productivity) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through process optimization, production line balancing, and equipment modification.
  • Lead cost reduction projects focusing on improving material utilization rate, reducing energy consumption, and controlling scrap rate.
  • Drive feasibility studies for automated and semi-automated modifications, gradually advancing the upgrade to Smart Manufacturing.

Team Development and Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Cultivate the production team's Lean awareness and technical capabilities by organizing regular training and skills competitions.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Equipment/Maintenance, and R&D departments to ensure the cross-functional implementation of technical improvement projects.
  • Assist in formulating skill-level assessment standards for production employees to enhance the overall skill level of the team.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design and Manufacturing, Wood Science and Engineering, or related majors.

Experience & Knowledge

  • At least 5 years of experience in the furniture manufacturing industry.
  • At least 3 years in a Lean Manufacturing promotion or Process Technical Management role.
  • Familiar with the production processes, material characteristics, and quality standards for solid-wood furniture and upholstery products.
  • Experience in the full implementation of a Lean Manufacturing System is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Personality & Attitude

  • Age under 45.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
