Job Description

Inventory Costing

  • Coordinate with warehouse and production personnel to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Manage inventory records and maintain accuracy of stock levels.
  • Collect and analyze data related to operational costs and manufacturing performance.
  • Maintain and update inventory control systems to ensure real-time accuracy.
  • Set standard costs for new materials and manufactured goods.

Month-End Reporting

  • Review monthly inventory reconciliation and analysis.
  • Perform monthly gross cost (GC) forecasting and compare actual results against forecasts.
  • Conduct GL-wise and cost center analysis, evaluating variances against budget.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to support the month-end closing process.
  • Perform purchase and sales order reconciliation, ensuring proper tracking of pending orders.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and business plans.
  • Monitor and control direct and overhead costs to align with budget goals.
  • Identify and recommend efficiency improvements to reduce processing costs.

Year-End Audit

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare required reports and schedules for external auditors.
  • Support tax filings and ensure timely completion of annual financial statement audits.

Team Leadership & Resource Management

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to subordinates, ensuring smooth department operations.
  • Coach and develop team members, fostering professional growth and succession readiness.
  • Plan and allocate departmental resources effectively to meet workload variations.
  • Evaluate team performance and implement improvement initiatives.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • ACCA or CIMA certification (or currently pursuing) is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and inventory costing.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to lead and manage a team of at least 2 people.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk prevention.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of working under pressure.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • English communication proficiency (written and spoken).
