Job Description
Cost Analysis & Calculation:
- Calculate and analyze production costs (raw materials, labor, overhead) for eyewear manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate standard costs and update them based on changes in production or material prices.
- Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) and report discrepancies.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic cost forecasts.
- Monitor production expenses and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
Inventory & Production Cost Control:
- Track inventory movements (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and ensure proper valuation.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare monthly cost reports, margin analysis, and KPIs for management review.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.
Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in production costing and propose improvements.
- Support ERP/system enhancements related to cost tracking.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, and Finance teams to align cost data.
- Provide cost insights for new product development and pricing strategies.
Job Requirement
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing (eyewear, textiles, plastics, or FMCG).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., D365) and advanced Excel.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles (absorption costing, activity-based costing).
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluent in English (written/spoken) is a plus.
