Job Description
- Overseeing the end-to-end product development process in Vietnam.
- Ensuring that products meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
- Managing PD Team across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City & Da Nang.
- Working closely with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, product innovation, and on-time deliveries.
- Responsible for bulk material quality control, vendor performance monitoring, and ensuring smooth production execution.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing PD Team.
- Setting clear goals and performance expectations for the team.
- Providing training, coaching, and support to improve team efficiency and product knowledge.
- Fostering collaboration between Regions teams.
- Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from concept and sampling to bulk production and shipment.
- Supervising the creation and maintenance of Tech Packs.
- Overseeing the sample development process.
- Ensuring product development timelines stay on track.
- Collaborating with the US headquarters to align on product designs.
- Ensuring products meet target cost while maintaining quality and functionality.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitoring Vendor development Performance.
- Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new vendors.
- Managing bulk material quality control.
- Negotiating costs, quality standards, and production lead times with suppliers.
- Resolving technical and production challenges.
- Monitoring vendor performance.
- Overseeing bulk production to ensure alignment with approved specifications.
- Addressing and resolving issues during manufacturing to avoid shipment delays.
- Monitoring vendor shipment on-time performance.
- Overseeing the approval of materials, trims, and colors to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Identifying potential risks in material selection, production processes, or supplier performance.
- Implementing preventive measures to reduce defects, delays, and cost overruns.
- Acting as the primary liaison between Product Development, Sourcing, Technical Design, and Production teams.
- Aligning with the US headquarters on development priorities.
- Leading cross-functional meetings.
- Working closely with logistics teams to ensure smooth shipment processes.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or a related field (preferably in Sock, Shoe, Accessories, Bags).
- Above 10 years of experience in product development or technical design, including leadership experience.
- Expertise in materials, construction techniques, manufacturing processes, and compliance standards.
- Strong proficiency in creating and interpreting Tech Packs, BOMs, and specifications.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and supply chain logistics.
- Proficiency in software tools such as PLM systems, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strategic thinking with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
