Job Description
The Agronomist will be responsible for setting up and developing new demonstration farms and nurseries, conducting agricultural research experiments, and sharing knowledge and best practices with farmers and staff. This role requires a strong understanding of agricultural principles, research methodologies, and experience with new farming techniques, particularly in citrus cultivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Farm & Nursery Development: Successfully set up and develop new demo farms and nurseries.
- Agricultural Research: Plan and conduct research experiments, following company and customer standards, and focusing on new farming techniques for citrus (lime) or other related crops.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect experimental data (crop growth, yield, quality, environmental factors) and analyze results to present to management.
- Knowledge Sharing & Training: Stay updated on new farming techniques, share research findings, and conduct training sessions for farmers and staff on best practices to improve productivity.
Job Requirement
Knowledge/Experience:
- University degree in Agriculture.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agriculture.
- Research experience, especially in new farming techniques for citrus or related crops.
- Understanding of pesticides and safe handling practices.
Skills:
- Ability to accurately and effectively collect experimental data.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Ability to read and understand specialized English documents.
- Ability to train and motivate farmers and staff.
- Good communication and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English.
- Ability to work effectively with foreign experts.
Attitudes:
- Strong willingness to learn and listen.
- Growth mindset.
- Proactive and progressive, with a passion for inspiring the team and farmers.
- Enthusiasm for working on farms daily.
