Job Description

  • Build and implement processes to support the nominated supplier program.
  • Support nominated suppliers to obtain and maintain active product and product input certifications that align with sustainability goals.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain component library.
  • Set standards for materials, components and trims, with input from PD, Design, PI, and other teams, as necessary.
  • Develop and refine internal procedures, supplier guidelines, tools, and training to scale implementation of programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with nominated supplier base.
  • Participate in industry led working groups, workshops, informational webinars, and customer driven training programs, staying current on industry trend, and new material innovations.
  • Work with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing teams to ensure that sourced materials align with departmental objectives with regard to desired certifications and product claims, specific to product inputs.
  • Conduct regular data analysis of progress toward set goals, cost savings, and nominated supplier performance.
  • Support the collection, evaluation, and verification of chain of custody documents.
  • Develop a scalable framework that supports objectives, including the expansion of the nominated packaging supplier strategy.

Job Requirement

  • Textile degree or experience in material development or procurement, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of yarn and fabric attributes, performance properties, and construction, and the material manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in consumer products, textile products, preferably the children’s market.
  • Understands complex product input supply chains and familiar with supply chain regulatory landscape, specifically pertaining to U.S. sanctions and high-risk countries of origin.
  • Working knowledge of current chemical management program, including RSLs and MRSLs as it applies to the production of our products and product inputs.
  • Proficient understanding of various frameworks including Oeko-Tex, GOTS, GRS, FSC, BCI, etc.
  • Able to work in collaborative environment and engage with and present to all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Knowledge or experience related to sourcing chain-of-custody documentation (e.g., cotton, recycled polyester), supply chain mapping and/or conflict minerals reporting.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with industry best practices in developing and scaling regulatory compliance requirements in manufacturing supply chains, including regional/global organizations, and supporting certifications.
  • Knowledge of global industry trends related to environmental and sustainable practices.
  • Strong project management, organizational skills, solution oriented, professional communicator, and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to create strong and meaningful relationships with stakeholders including internal teams, suppliers, and any other 3rd party organizations to drive change.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake diverse and complex projects.
  • Able to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office suite, PLM systems, and vendor management platforms.
  • Is self-motivated to accomplish tasks on time, able to manage time efficiently, and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
